The main aims of the Project are:-
To assist families throughout East Lothian who are in receipt of benefits and have a need for furniture and other household items.
To collect good quality second hand furniture and other household items for distribution to families in need.
The project has a Furniture Recycling warehouse at :-

The warehouse sells good quality second hand furniture. Larger items purchased can be delivered free of charge within East Lothian.
The profits from these sales are used to further the aims and objectives of the Recycling First Project.
The warehouse is open Monday to Friday, 10.00am to 3.30pm.

Families must approach one of the Referral Agencies who will complete a Referral form which will be sent to the project. Then depending on the availability of stock we will fulfil the request as soon as possible.

The project is always in need of good quality second hand furniture and household items i.e. Suites, Wardrobes, Chests of Drawers, Beds, Pots and Pans, Curtains, Bedding, Brie a Brae, Electrical White Goods and any other Household Items.
We are also happy to undertake House Clearances.
If you can help with any of these items and would like to donate them to a worth while cause give us a
call and we will uplift free of charge.
This project employs a Project Development Officer, Driver and Electrician and they are supported by a group of volunteers and placements.
The project is funded by East Lothian Council and Transforming Waste
Scotland.
Volunteers are urgently required by the project, for assisting on the van, in the furniture shop and electrical work shop.
