We are urgently in need of good quality, re-usable furniture and other household items, and domestic electrical appliances. Please help us to help others. We will collect free of charge.
Recycling First Project is enormously grateful to all our benefactors who have donated, and continue to donate items to our charitable cause. We rely on the generosity of people so that we can continue to provide a service to people in need of household items. Revenue generated from the sale of donated items is invested back into the organisation to help towards meeting Recycling First Projects' overheads, particularly premises, vehicles and operational staff.
Your donation will help to ensure that Recycling First Project can survive and will continue to benefit the community and the environment....
But before you ring us there are a couple of things you need to check:
1) Soft furnishings such as beds, bed settees, suite, arm chairs and sofas must carry a label indicating that the item complies with the 1988 Fire Safety Regulations and be stain and damage free, if the label is not present we will be unable to take the item.
2) All drawers, cupboards etc should be emptied
3) All appliances should be disconnected.
4) Take a good look at the items you are thinking of donating," would you accept it", or is it beyond repair.
If an item is too heavy/or the crew to handle, we may unfortunately not be able to
take it.
If you have any doubts as to the suitability of your donation give us a ring. The chances are that we can use it and as the collection is free there is nothing to loose.
Send us the details:
We will allocate you a collection day and time after you contact us. We can collect from your porch or garage and can phone 30 minutes before collection if needed.
